hm

here's a thought: the beatles are not underrated, but people definitley don't listen to them enough.

also, it's almost the new year! such a stupid celebration. i'm sorry, but it's only good if you end up mackin on some hottie at midnight, otherwise you just feel like you wasted a good minute of your life celebrating a fake holiday.

i'm not really this cynical though. i actually just got dressed to go celebrate and have a good time. i had california pizza kitchen today. get the field greens salad... it's SO good! also my new favorite eating out dish is the honey shrimp with honeydew melon and candied walnuts from good ol' P.F changs. order it you won't be dissapointed.

only a few days until christmas decor comes down. happy epiphany!

i want to post christmas pictures but the memory card is acting stupid. and i just realized how much i enjoyed talking about food in this post.

let it snow let it fro let me gooooo

so i survived my first day of snow. which apparently was a mild snowstorm, but for me it was obviously the the most beautiful/frightening thing i've ever experienced. it made me sick within minutes, but i'm feeling better now. i'm listening to charlie brown christmas on myspace wishing i had the whole cd. i'm making enchies tonight, i just need some guacamole and i'll be so satisfied.

p.s snow is more slippery than anticipated, BUT, if you just act as though you are ice skating you can survive. like beyonce knowles

black friday indeed

so i'm sitting here watching the santa claus and i have one question: how did tim allen become so popular? i mean yes i'll watch home improvement late into the night, and i love the santa claus, but really.. he's no epic comedian or anything. i'd like to meet one person who claims to be "tims biggest fan". i really would. i also would like to comment on the tenderly coined term or label " holiday shoppers". holiday= good, shoppers= ruthless. these people claim to be human but i swear they could be wolves. i opened the store a half hour early for our impatient creatures, and was lovingly greeted by children trying to break my glass doors, knocking over bags, and parents disciplining other people's children and in turn these parents almost getting punched in the cheekbone by the true birth mothers. of course i'm no mediator when i'm the only one behind the register with a line stretching to our back room where our feast of papa johns awaits us. how i LOVE the holiday season. i actually really do, i enjoy these crazy shoppers. it's entertaining to see how people really handle themselves under stress and on an empty stomach and tired brain. i must say, some people can be pretty terrific, and i was pleased with how i handled myself today. a few customers even commented on how cheery i was. and then i bought two shirts from forever 21 for 5 dollars and grew even more filled with the shopper spirit. work is fantastic. and i mean that with all the strength i have left from this day.

another thought: it's the attitude not the aptitude that measures the altitude.

i'd like to pretend i made that up but it's from a great movie about... the holocaust! ohhhh downer. sad.

i'm off to barnes and noble or target.. to get a book for our coffee table that we can write what we are grateful for in.

love to all.

once upon a time

i'm funny says laura. dr. laura who is currently "speaking out of her butt" says that if i am funny and confident then i will attract those things in my life. i really don't believe this anymore. today i saw the most attractive boy in work it gave me butterflies and i didn't know what to do with these emotions. but then he left, and i was pretty much where i started.. single and working two jobs. nutella is delicious by the way, with brownies mmmm. comedysportz is a good place to be on most any night, but especially on friday nights when you're feeling a little lame. so dayna and i ventured into the evening. pictures will be posted soon, and apparently buying a hot chocolate is the new "send that martini to table 4".

4 new friends to make this week to be more social.

1. cute boy
2. rich girl
3. beyonce
4. donny osmond

that's all.
